My Approach
My approach is grounded in compassion, understanding, and evidence-based principles from infant and early childhood mental health (IECMH). I work with families and early childhood programs to foster connection, strengthen parent-child relationships, and support children’s social-emotional development through an attachment- and developmentally-informed lens.
About Morgan
I’m Morgan Coburn, M.Ed, a early childhood and family development specialist with over a decade supporting young children and their families in homes, classrooms, and now as a consultant. I help parents make sense of behavior, build calmer routines, and feel confident in their approach to parenting. My work is trauma-informed, grounded in developmental science and attachment theory, but at its core, it’s personal and relationship-driven.
When I'm not working, you can usually find me at home on my homestead surrounded by my animals: two dogs, two goats, and several chickens. I spend my free time reading, playing piano, or being outside in nature. I love mushroom hunting, sun bathing, and watching the bees work hard on on the flowers on my property. I believe life is meant to be enjoyed and it is possible for everyone to have a life they enjoy. That's why I started Haven Family Consulting -- to bring joy back to parenting and caregiving.
