Medication Management
Research shows mental health conditions respond best to a combination of therapy and medication management. This evidence-based approach addresses both the biological and emotional aspects of mental health, helping individuals develop coping skills while ensuring medications are safe, effective, and aligned with their treatment goals. By integrating these services, we provide comprehensive care designed to support lasting improvement and overall well-being.

Effective medication management focuses on the "five rights" of administration: the right patient, the right drug, the right dose, the right route (e.g., oral, topical), and the right time.
Understanding Medications Know why you are taking each medication, its intended effects, potential side effects, and any food or alcohol interactions.
Adherence and Scheduling Follow the prescribed schedule exactly. Using tools like a daily pill organizer or a smartphone app can help you remember to take the right dose at the right time.
Communication Maintain an open dialogue with all healthcare providers (doctors, pharmacists, etc.) and inform them of all the medications, over-the-counter drugs, and supplements you are taking.
Monitoring and Review Regularly monitor the medication's effects and report any side effects or concerns to your doctor. An annual medication review with your physician or pharmacist is recommended to adjust dosages or change medications as needed.
Safe Storage Store medicines in a cool, dry, and safe place, out of reach of children. Avoid storing them in the bathroom due to humidity.

Tips for Patients and Caregivers
Keep an updated list Carry a complete list of all your medications and allergies with you at all times, such as on a medicine wallet card.
Use one pharmacy Filling all your prescriptions at the same pharmacy helps the pharmacist check for potential drug interactions.
Never stop a medication on your own Always consult your physician before stopping or adjusting a dose. Some medications must be tapered off gradually.
Ask questions Don't hesitate to ask your healthcare team questions for clarification about your treatment plan.

Staying organized is key to avoiding missed doses or incorrect timing: [1]
Pill Organizers: Use a daily or weekly pillbox with AM/PM compartments so you can see at a glance if you've taken your medicines.
Reminders & Apps: Set alarms on your phone or use a medication tracking app (such as MyTherapy or Medisafe) to prompt you.
Safe Storage: Store your medications in a cool, dry place—avoid bathroom medicine cabinets due to high humidity. Learn more
